In 1992, the United Nations General Assembly declared the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. Its aim is to promote the rights and well-being of people with disabilities. In the Girona area, several activities are organised to commemorate this day. Today we will review two of them, to be combined with other inclusive proposals in our territory.

Water polo, athletics, wheelchair basketball, boccia, powerlifting, wheelchair hockey, swimming, adapted paddle tennis, quad rugby, fencing... And so on up to 18 adapted sports modalities that are practised in our territory.

Culture and shows for everyone? Yes, it's possible in the Costa Brava and in the Girona Pyrenees. Festivals and facilities are updated and adapted so that everyone can enjoy them. Accessible performances, adapted spaces and specific itineraries. We tell you all about it.

Around 2,600 years ago, the Iberians became the first indigenous civilisation in what is now Catalonia. They were a people made up of several tribes, such as the Indigetes, who settled at strategic points along the Costa Brava. A unique and surprising culture that we invite you to discover.

Museums explain who we are and where we come from and can even help us understand where we are going. They are spaces that capture our collective memory and define us. Spaces where everyone, whatever their condition or ability, is welcome.

Today we bring you benefits for body, mind and spirit with the proposal of Play & Train and We Bike Together, a programme that promotes sport for everyone, specifically adapted cycling.
