Flaçà is one of the smallest municipalities in Gironès (just 6.6 km2), but it’s certainly not small in terms of beauty and charm. The old quarter, which only has three entry points, is a labyrinth of narrow, rambling and shady streets leading to little squares where you can stop for a rest and take in the mediaeval atmosphere. Outside the town itself, head to the wayside cross in the hamlet of Farreres, with a wonderful view of Flaça, and the floodplain of the Ter. Before you leave, quench your thirst at the Farreres spring.
