As regards its towns, it must be said that they have succeeded in maintaining their own essence and personality, which make them interesting destinations for all types of inquisitive visitors. The archaeological remains of Sant Julià de Ramis, Sarrià de Ter and Vilablareix; the mediaeval sites of Llagostera, Madremanya, Cervià de Ter, Flaçà and Sant Jordi Desvalls; the towns grouped around churches and castles such as Sant Gregori, Canet d’Adri, Fornells de la Selva, Bordils, Celrà, Juià, Sant Joan de Mollet, Sant Martí de Llémena and Sant Martí Vell.
The small rural municipalities of Aiguaviva, Campllong, Llambilles, Viladasens and Sant Andreu Salou; those that preserve an important industrial past and present, such as Bescanó, Quart, Salt and Cassà de la Selva.
