Hostalric is the smallest municipality in the Selva region, with an extension of just 3 km2. However, if good things come in small sizes, Hostalric has a highly concentrated history. This walled town preserves some 600 metres of its impressive city walls almost intact and eight of the towers that protected the town. On the top of the hill, there is a castle, a first-class military fort. All this architectural heritage has been listed as a Cultural Asset of National Interest.
