S’Agaró is an architectural jewel beside the sea. One of the most iconic and exclusive areas of the Costa Brava. At the beginning of the twentieth century, Josep Ensesa, together with architect Rafael Masó, had the vision of building a Catalan garden city within a noucentista framework where the architecture and town planning was in complete harmony with the landscape, showcasing a style that respects the environment. Senya Blanca, the Hostal de La Gavina and each of the town’s houses form part of an indivisible architectural complex that, since 1996, has been listed as a Cultural Asset of National Interest. S’Agaró’s cliff-hugging 2 km-long Camí de Ronda bears the name of Josep Ensesa i Gubert, who was the visionary not only of Camí de Ronda, but also of the realisation of his dream: S’Agaró.
