This stage allows us to discover an Empordà very different from the typical image of sun and beach. The route takes us into a landscape characterized by mounds and hills full of cork oak groves, dry fields and vineyards. In this first stage we will leave the bustling center of La Jonquera to enter into the solitude of a landscape modeled by the Tramuntana, with thin forests and small villages surrounded by dry land and vineyards. During the tour we will have excellent views towards the border areas of Albera and Salines, and we will discover the main river of the area: la Muga.
