The Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board ensures that everyone can enjoy the Costa Brava and the Girona Pyrenees without barriers. In the digital book Los sentidos del descubrimiento. The Alt Empordà is a land of sea and tramontana. Active tourism is very popular. If you want to experience the freedom of flying, you cannot miss a visit to the Windoor Realfly in Empuriabrava. And if you are more of a sea person, activities such as kayaking or sailing await you. The Alt Empordà is also a walk through history. You can visit megalithic dolmens and menhirs, Greek and Roman sites, and Romanesque, Gothic and Modernist buildings. All this, together with the strong presence of Salvador Dalí.

Fishing villages, forests, beaches, medieval villages… All this and more makes up the Baix Empordà. The region is rich in cultural life and history. You can discover it in Pals, a village that has an accessible tour, or in the Fishing Museum of Palamós. In Platja d’Aro you can stroll through the Parc dels Estanys (Lakes Park), which combines nature and culture with tours and exhibitions of large sculptures. In addition, the region is the birthplace of the Baix Empordà Tourism Accessibility Plan, a project that promotes the region as an accessible destination.
The Ripollès is a Pyrenean region, a land of high mountains with iconic landscapes such as Vall de Núria. Romanesque architecture is spread throughout the region, where you can sense the essence of the high mountain villages. It is a land of counts and abbots, and you will find museums and interpretation centres that invite us to learn about legends and traditions rooted in the territory, such as the Ethnographic Museum. The region is rich in mountain sports, with routes and activities adapted to all levels and abilities.

Another privileged place for the practice of sports and activities related to nature is La Cerdanya, a mountainous region in the middle of the Pyrenees. Among the services, Alpine skiing and Nordic skiing resorts stand out. It has the Adapted Sports Centre of La Molina, managed by the social organization Play & Train, a paradise for mountain & snow lovers. The capital, Puigcerdà, is an interesting tourist and cultural destination and an active commercial centre.
The Pla de l’Estany is an agricultural and livestock farming region, with fertile land, abundant water and historical sites, such as the Neolithic Park of La Draga or the Roman site of Vilauba. In the centre of the region the famous lake of Banyoles stands out, the largest natural lake in Catalonia. With the proposals of Caiac i natura, you can enjoy the lake through inclusive activities, sports and contact with nature.

Gironès is a transition region located between the Pyrenees and the sea. It is a territory with high landscape value, great heritage and a wide range of sports and leisure activities in nature. This is the case of the Parc de les Olors de Celrà, a garden full of aromatic, medicinal and culinary plants where you can also enjoy a therapeutic path. You cannot miss a forest bath in Vall de Llémena, an activity of Aromes del bosc. The capital, Girona, is a city rich in history, but also modern, cosmopolitan and friendly.
The Natural Park of Montseny and the Guilleries, in La Selva, share the limelight with towns of great tourist interest. Water has a prominent place in the region as an engine of industrialization and as a recreational and medicinal element. There is a long tradition of mineral waters and spas. Lloret de Mar hosts the Catalan Association of Emotional and Adapted Diving, ACBEA. And in Blanes, the Marimurtra gardens offer an exceptional panoramic view of the coast.

La Garrotxa is defined by its volcanic character. It is an outstanding destination for lovers of geology, nature and hiking. The capital, Olot, is rich in history, architectural heritage and cultural activities. You can discover the craftsmanship of religious imagery at the Museu dels Sants and the region’s artistic and cultural history at the Museu de la Garrotxa. Natura & Màgia organizes inclusive guided tours of the volcanic area. And Les Preses is home to the Parc de Pedra Tosca, a labyrinth of paths, dry stone walls and traditional crops that can be explored through senses such as touch and smell.
