The area boasts an attractive historic Roman villa of Pla de Palol, the remains of which can be visited for free.

From the dimensions it would seem more of a beach than a cove. It is 237 metres long and 43 metres wide. With coarse sand, as you enter the water the slope is quite pronounced. Although the area is fairly developed, the Rovira cove has some historical attractions such as the Roman villa of Pla de Palol, the remains of which have been restored and are open to visitors free of charge. To get to the beach, the best way is along the Avinguda de Cavall Bernat and Carrer Empúries, where you’ll find the Roman villa. For parking you can leave your car near the beach, taking advantage of the streets in the area. Particularly arresting are the rocky areas that border the beach, on one of which there is a hotel. It has been awarded a blue flag.
