The village of Riudarenes, in the Selva region, has something which makes it very special: the church is located at one end of the village. The habitual swelling of the streams meant that the village had to grow towards the north and not around Sant Martí Parish Church, as would have been usual. Riudarenes is protected by the Puigsardina Tower and the Bruixes Tower as well as by Argimon Castle. A pleasant walk will take you up to the castle, where you will have the nice reward of enjoying panoramic views over the Esparra Valley.
