The people of Breda set their watches by the bells of “Selva cathedral”. The imposing 32-metre high medieval tower of the Sant Salvador Monastery that house them, together with the Abbey courtyard and the cloister are the jewels in the town’s crown. Breda has become famous after hitting the nations television screens as the backdrop for Televisió de Catalunya’s popular “Ventdelplà” series. Its proximity to Montseny Natural Park and to Montsoriu Castle make the town an excellent base for family day trips. The town is also known as a historic centre of ceramic and pottery production, a tradition that dates back over several centuries.
