The municipality of Riumors is located on the Empordà plain, between the Fluvià and Muga rivers, very close to the Empordà wetlands and the Gulf of Roses. As you can already imagine, this is a setting ready to be explored and enjoyed. But the town of Riumors has its own attractions as well, one of which is the church of Sant Mamet. Originally built in the 11th century, the church has since undergone restoration work for various reasons, such as the great flood of 1421. If you’re feeling curious, examine the ceramic panels of some of the farmhouses, which list the services that their inhabitants rendered to the Xemmar manor house, the residence of the Marquises of Riumors, the landowners of this beautiful place in former times.
