Fishing and the sea was such a necessary part of life in the Costa Brava that it naturally trickled into the social culture. The custom of socializing at fisherman huts along the coast and cooking fish stew with family and friends began centuries ago and still exists today. The fishing culture touches everyone’s life on a daily basis in Costa Brava; they either work with fish, eat fish, or live by fish (fishing villages) — or all three at once. Experience yourself!
