In Juià, a small municipality to the north of the Gavarres massif, you’ll find the time and calm you need to rest and wander around. What makes this town so charming is the varied woodland that surrounds it, with holm oaks and pines in the mountainous area, and chestnuts and oaks in the more humid areas of the plain. Some traces of its history can be seen among the vegetation, such as the ancient sanctuary of Sant Joan de l’Erm, originally occupied by a community of Benedictine nuns, and the remains of the ancient castle of Juià.
