If you know a young lady who wants to get married but can’t find a suitor, take her to Vilablareix, in Gironès. According to local tradition, all the young ladies who visit the chapel of Sant Roc, set atop a small hill, are married within a year. Vilablareix obviously doesn’t restrict its warm welcome to young ladies! Come and discover part of the municipality’s Roman past at one of the most popular attractions in the area: the Torratxa or Moors tower, a very well preserved burial tower that would appear to have been the tomb of the owner of the ancient Roman villa.
