Sixth stage of GR 92 that marks a turning point, both from the landscape point of view and the physical effort that we must perform. Although the route around L'Escala shows us the impact of the construction fever, the arrival to the urbanized but beautiful Cala Montgó is a small bite of what will come next. From here we enter a truly wild coast, with deep white pine forests ending in vertiginous cliffs, such as Punta Ventosa, and channels that lead to solitary dreamy coves, such as Ferriol and Pedrosa. The next section takes us into the depths of the Montgrí massif, where the cork oak, pine and white pine are the protagonists. At Coll de les Sorres you have to pay attention to see the dunes below us. The penultimate section of this stage takes us to two of the three hills of the massif, Montplà (310m) and Mont del Montgrí (303m). We will only have to descend the hill of Santa Caterina and from there, following the Camí Vell, enjoy a memorable arrival to Torroella de Montgrí.
