Although the two previous stages were totally coastal, the tenth section of the Mediterranean Way takes us back inland. We will go up the valley of the Comes stream, which has farms, orchards and some fields, to the crest of the Cadiretes granite massif known as the Serra de Ardenya. The cork oaks will be part of the landscape through the forest, showing the importance of the cork industry for the local economy. Alternating sections of sun with sections of shade we will pass next to old farmhouses in ruins, as Can Codolar or Can Cabanyes de Montagut. We will pass by the Pla de ses Pinyaques under the Puig de ses Cadiretes, which with its 519 m becomes the highest point of this mountain range. After this small plateau we expect a practically uninterrupted descent to Tossa de Mar.
