It will take you a while to walk there, but it is certainly worth the effort. Surrounded by pine trees and cliffs, a large central reef makes the beach take on a double half-moon shape which provide various nooks and crannies that are worth exploring, both by land and by water. Located in the area of natural interest of Castell-cap Roig, another attraction of this beach is the old fisherman’s hut at one end. It has been restored by the Town Council and it is possible to request its use for a day. The presence of a hut was recorded in a document from the 16th century, although it is suspected that the current structure probably dates from the last century. To get there, just leave your car in the car park at Castell beach and take a pleasant walk to Estreta cove.
