Ajuntament de Maçanet de la Selva, Carrer Salvador Espriu, 1, 17412 Maçanet de la Selva, Espanya
Maçanet de la Selva has grown up where millions of years ago there was a lake that dried out. The remains of this lake were the origin of what we know today as Sils Lakes, an area that also dried out and is now a large humid plain full of history. Iberians, Romans and feudal lords lived in this town, seduced by its good climate and the abundance of water to be found locally. If you would like to follow part of its history, take the old Via Augusta and the Sils irrigation channel, crossing Dimoni Bridge.
