Serra de Daró is a municipality with plenty of character in Baix Empordà, set in a flat area of crop fields and low hills crowned with small villages. Old farmhouses are scattered throughout the municipal district. This landscape, basking in the breeze coming off the coast, is synonymous with peace, calm and silence. But in Serra de Daró you also have a date with history: the ruins of the castle of Sant Iscle, the remains of the Iberian necropolis of Roqueta peak and the bridge on the Empúries road, an ancient Roman road that crossed Baix Empordà.
