Ajuntament de Besalú, Plaça de la Llibertat, Besalú, Espanya
The municipality of Saus, Camallera and Llampaies straddles the counties of Alt Empordà, Baix Empordà and Gironès, in an area where the Fluvià and Ter rivers approach each other before being swallowed up by the Mediterranean sea. This is a setting in which you can really unwind, enjoying the landscape and exploring the past thanks to heritage dating back to Roman times and much earlier. Visit the fortified church of Santa Eugènia, the church of Sant Bartomeu and the chapel of Sant Sebastià, next to the camí ral (royal way). And cool down at the Mal de Ventre spring, paying no heed to its name, which translates as stomach ache!
