17732 Sant Llorenç de la Muga, Espanya
Sant Llorenç de la Muga, in the county of Alt Empordà and part of the sub-county of Alta Garrotxa, will captivate you with the spectacular scenery of the Muga cliffs, declared an Area of Natural Interest. One of the other great attractions is the mediaeval legacy of the town, which still preserves the layout of the fortified enclosure of the 14th and 15th centuries, consisting of four towers and three gateways. One of the highlights of the local calendar is the Bean Fair, held on the first Sunday in March. You’ll certainly savour the memory of tasting the ganxet alt (a variety of white haricot bean), accompanied by Catalan sausage, bread and aioli.
