The Medieval Peralada

Centre de Turisme Cultural Sant Domènec - Ajuntament de Peralada

Peralada is one of the most important mediaeval towns in L’Empordà. Its historical and cultural legacy is present in the charming streets of the town. Through a tour of the most emblematic places of the village, we will learn what life was like in medieval times as well as the legacy of its most illustrious son: Ramon Muntaner.
This visit to the historical centre includes the entrance to the Sant Domènec Cultural Tourism Centre (Museum of the village) where we will discover, among many things, the Romanesque cloister (from the 11th-12th centuries) and the remains of the Iberian oppidum. We will also enter the church of Sant Martí, where we will learn about the architectural evolution of this ancient parish church, and we will stroll through the most important streets and squares.
