Located in the heart of Cap de Creus Natural Park, this cove lies at the end of a long inlet. This gives it a particular character, attracting the many boats from both El Port de la Selva and Cadaqués that moor there. Indeed, travelling in by boat is one of the best ways to visit the cove as vehicle access is not permitted. Walking is another option, involving a few hours’ hike along the GR-11 footpath following the signs to Taballera Cove and Sant Baldiri. Despite the long walk, the chance to explore some of the natural park and discover its unusual rock formations makes it well worth the effort. A number of old fishermen’s huts can still be found dotted along the 135 m-long coarse sand and shingle beach.
