Water is the ‘trademark’ of the Selva region and Massanes is no exception to this. The landscape around this village is full of torrents, streams, brooks and exuberant forests. There are also old farmhouses and small episodes of history splattered all over the landscape. One of them is the hanging bridge that communicated the locals living either side of the Massanes stream. Although it is in a poor condition, you can still make out its charm among the thick vegetation. Take a packed tea with you and off you go!
