Plaça Garbina, 1, 17114 Ullastret, Espanya
Although Ullastret is known for the Iberian town on the Sant Andreu mount, this municipality in Baix Empordà offers plenty of other attractions, the first of which is located in the town itself, namely the fortified old quarter. Wander along the winding, narrow streets sheltered by the old walls and you’ll feel the town’s mediaeval essence. Outside the walls, make sure you visit the Llotja, a covered Gothic square, and a great place to cool off. And, last of all, something for your taste buds: recuit de drap, a creamy artisan cottage cheese.
