Torrent is a small town in Baix Empordà. There are no more than 30 houses clustered around the church of Sant Vicenç, which, together with the ancient fortified gateway and the remains of the castle, ensure that the town preserves its mediaeval charm. Take a leisurely stroll to the chapel of Sant Llop, set atop a hill where people from the neighbouring villages come together to celebrate the day of Santa Llúcia. And if you want to embark on a journey back to prehistoric times, pay a visit to the Cementiri dels Moros (cemetery of Moors), a Neolithic dolmen with a covered gallery, one of the largest of its kind in Catalonia.
