Carrer Major, 17481 Sant Julià de Ramis, Espanya
Sant Julià de Ramis has always been a strategic place for the civilisations that have inhabited this area. That’s why it’s a good place for discovering and investigating important chapters in the history of Catalonia. The Iberians lived there, as did the Romans, who controlled traffic on the ancient Via Augusta from this spot. At the top of the mountain of Sant Julià, the Romans built a great fortress, the Castellum Fractum (Broken Castle). If you feel like travelling back a thousand years in time, pay it a visit.
