Sant Ferriol, Espanya
This municipality in Garrotxa is named after the sanctuary of Sant Ferriol. There are churches and sanctuaries with plenty of history in their walls nestled in this lively landscape of dense forests and crystal-clear waters. In the hamlet of Torn you’ll find the peace and calm of little rural villages, while the sanctuary of El Collell still gives a sense of the monastic life of times long past. The views of Alta Garrotxa from the sanctuary of Sant Ferriol are also fantastic, especially if you come in September, coinciding with the sardana gathering and rice feast.
