he “Ceretana Sistine Chapel” is a jewel of Cerdanya’s Baroque art, featuring almost all the original Baroque mural paintings from 1718. Documented since 1667, it has undergone archaeological excavations and restorations that revealed a Romanesque temple buried beneath the current church. Historians have identified two possible lost churches: Santa Fe de Talltorta, which disappeared in the 17th century, or Sant Climent del Soler. Additionally, an immersive and innovative experience at the Rectoria offers a deep insight into these Baroque murals through the priest who commissioned them, providing a detailed and enriching view of the church’s art and history.
