Also known as Canyelles Grosses, this is one of the most popular beaches in Roses. Approximately 500 metres long by 25 metres wide with fine sand, it is the type of beach that is especially attractive for the whole family. It is located about 5 kilometres from the centre of Roses, but getting there is easy and there is free parking nearby. Follow the road that passes in front of the port and carry on to find the car park. There is also a bus that goes there. Another highly recommended option is to get there by taking a pleasant stroll along the coastal path. L’Almadrava is a beach sheltered from the tramuntana (north wind), has all the services you could want and which has been awarded the EMAS and ISO 14001 European certifications.
