L’Armentera has been strongly associated with cattle, as its name might indicate (armentera is the Catalan for pasture land). But today it’s better defined as a small town with a busy square, set in a landscape where the Fluvià river is about to flow into the Mediterranean sea and just a stone’s throw from the Aiguamolls de l’Empordà Natural Park and all the attractions of the Costa Brava.
